BASIC SWR phonics and spelling curriculum training provides an overview of the program with emphasis on how to use the materials and how they work together for a variety of ages. Julie walks through each level’s first few weeks, dictating words from pertinent spelling lists and dictating applicable reference pages as she goes. Reference pages include all or most of these: Consonants and Vowels, multi-letter phonograms, AEIOU, Silent Final E’s, E’s dropping, 1-1-1, Y’s exchanging, plurals, /ER/ rule, etc.
