The newest edition of the Wise Guide was introduced in July 2024.
The main reason for the 2024 update of the Wise Guide is reprinting by a new publisher. Along with a new face on the front cover, the back cover has been updated to include a handy introduction to the word list layout. The 2024 Wise Guide is compatible with the 2015 and 2016 SWR Teacher’s Manuals.
Internal changes are mostly updates in formatting. For example, in the Preliminaries before each word list, Phonograms, Rules, and Reference Pages now consistently appear in that order. Now that the Red (Primary) Learning Log contains a collection page for abbreviations and contractions, these Reference page reminders in the right hand side word notes are now bold.
Additional updates are mentioned below in the previous edition’s errata.
